Part mockumentary, part live electro extravaganza, the 16Bits and a Microphone project follows the journey of the lo-fi ghetto robot band "Press Play". What makes the film all the more surprising is the fact that a custom music system was coded and stored on Megadrive flash carts to generate the music! The result is chiptune music with a uniquely 16bit flavour. After an intial screening/performance run at Deakin University, Press Play returned for a final string of shows at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival with Darlington Garage.
